The September 8th lunch meeting speaker will be: Lt. Col. Dean A. Cusanek*, commander of Keesler AFB 81st Security Forces Squadron. Lt. Col. Dean A. Cusanek commands the 81 st Security Forces Squadron. His unit consists of 167 security forces members, as well as 24 Individual Mobilization Augmentees and 65 Army National Guardsmen providing law enforcement and resource protection for Keesler AFB and its 28,000 personnel. He ensures WMP-tasked and AEF UTCs totaling 129 personnel maintain rapid worldwide deployment capability. Additionally, he serves as senior SF Crisis Action Team representative during emergencies. . Major Cusanek enlisted in the Air Force in February, 1981, and for the next 7 years performed security specialist duties in Alaska, North Dakota, and New Mexico. He was commissioned through Officer Training School in 1988 after completing his bachelor's degree under the Bootstrap Program.
